Only what they could see

Only what they could see

Elle Burton, Reporter

What they see

beautiful, colorful, bright

But that was only what they could see

What they can’t see

The pain

The darkness that shines through the bright

The fragile being

Deep down hiding the broken

The kind and caring

The girl with a “perfect” life

Who knew you could predict a whole life by just looking at my eyes

Portraying a “good” life on the outside and masking the inside

Medication getting out of bed

Medication getting into bed

“I will be a wreck if I forget”

Eyes bring out the personality of those in pain

But that was only what they could see. Unless it was just what they wanted to see
