The Arapahoe Warriors Varsity Football team faces one of their toughest tests of the year tonight. They match up against a very talented Ralston Valley team. Entering the second round of the playoffs, the Warriors are looking to keep their undefeated season alive. Ralston Valley has lost twice, but to two of the best teams in the state in Pomona and Arapahoes undefeated counterpart, Columbine.

The Ralston Valley offense is similar to the Arapahoe offense in that they both like to chew the clock and rely heavily on the run. Both defenses are very good against the run so it should be a battle in the trenches for most of the game. Both defenses are giving up less than an average of 12 points per game, certainly this game should not be a shootout.

The fans should expect a low scoring game with lots of running. The difference in this game will be the one or two big plays or one or two big mistakes that either team will make at crucial times in the game. With a win tonight over Ralston Valley the Warriors would gain a lot of respect from the rest of the teams in the playoffs. Look for the senior leadership to be vital in this intense playoff matchup. The Warriors will depend on Senior QB Pete Mitchell, Senior DB Ray Haas and Senior RB Nick Thompson to keep this dream season alive. The game will be played at Littleton Public Stadium tonight and kickoff is set for 7pm under the lights.
