Arapahoe football loses matchup against Cherry Creek

What happened: The Arapahoe Warriors lost their week three matchup against 8th ranked Cherry Creek 28-3. Cherry Creek scored 21 points in the first half, and added a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Nate Rapue knocked in a 30 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter for the Warriors only points.

Starting off: The Warriors were stifled in the first half, with -25 yards of total offense in the first half. Creek botched a 42 yard field goal on their opening drive, resulting in a turnover on downs, however, Arapahoe’s offense couldn’t capitalize.

By the numbers: Connor Desch finished 4-13 with 92 yards. Jalen Thomas finished with 109 all purpose yards, 63 of them coming on kick returns.

Those who showed up: Arapahoe fans, adorned in white, filled up the stands at Stutler Bowl but didn’t stay long as Creek jumped out to an early lead.
