Introducing New Staff: Mr. James Neenan

Allie Highsmith, Herald Reporter

At Arapahoe this year, we have a multitude of new staff. From English to Science, there are almost too many new staff members to count. I had the chance to sit down with one new staff member, Language Arts teacher Mr. James Neenan, and chat about his teaching career before Arapahoe, and a couple other details about him.

Q: Have you taught before? If so, where and for how long?

A: This is my fifth year teaching. I spent the last four years teaching at STEM School and Academy in Highlands Ranch.

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: Currently, I teach English 9, English Literature, and Mystery Literature.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: By far, buffalo wings. There’s nothing better!

Q: What country would you most like to travel to and why?

A: I’ve got plans to spend time in the south of Spain and northern Africa this coming summer, which I cannot wait for. Otherwise, everywhere? Is that an acceptable answer?

Q: What’s your favorite movie?

A: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Greatest. Movie. Ever.

Q: What’s something unique about you?

A: I’m one of seven kids and my younger three siblings were all adopted from the Philippines.
