It is about playoff time and the Girls Lacrosse team has set themselves up nicely to make a deep run. The Warriors are 8-5 and 5-1 in league. Their lone loss came to number 2 ranked Cherry Creek.

Junior midfielder Meg Hanson has a very positive attitude about how their season has gone and how they expect to finish. She said, “We are feeling good about our season so far. We’ve had some tough losses but they have only made us better. We’re sad that the season is coming to an end and that we will be losing our seniors but we are excited to come out hard for playoffs and see where we will stand against the other teams in the playoffs.” Meg and her teammate Andie Thompson have combined to lead the league in assists (Andie) and goals (Meg).

The Warriors will face the 3-7 Overland Trailblazers in a league matchup on Friday April, 28th. The game will begin at 4 P.M. at Newton Middle School. Overland is 0-5 in league so far this year and has lost to five teams that the Warriors beat earlier in the season. After that they end the regular season next Tuesday against Chaparral. The Warriors hope to build some momentum into the playoffs.
