The Denver Broncos recently announced Trevor Siemian to be their starting quarterback. This comes to no surprise, as his only opponent for the position, Paxton Lynch, under-performed in most practices and games. However, Siemian has not proven to be a “winning” quarterback for the Broncos, starting 14 games and winning eight. Lynch started two games and won one. While Siemian’s stats were mediocre, the Broncos need better play from Siemian if they plan on winning the division or making the wildcard.

The Broncos defense can’t take the team on a championship run without an offensive change. For example, the running back position is a mess, but not necessarily in a bad way. C. J. Anderson has proved himself a great player in the position, but injuries have made him unreliable from time to time. Jamaal Charles has had some major injuries, and will get his one shot against the Packers in the Broncos third preseason game this weekend. Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson have performed well in preseason, and will compete for most likely the backup position with Jamaal Charles.

Most other positions are going well for the Broncos, but we will just have to wait and see how everyone performs throughout the season.
