This Wednesday the Warriors are taking on Cherokee Trail on the road.

This is a huge game for the Warriors as they need to win one of their next two games to secure a spot in the playoffs. The Warriors are 4-17 on the season, which might not look like a playoff contention record, but with the CHSAA RPI system, they are currently 48th out of the 48 teams that make the postseason.

The Warriors are looking for revenge against the Cougars this time around, as the Warriors lost in overtime a few weeks ago at home.

Keys for this game include limiting turnovers, transition points, and taking good shots on the offensive end of the court.

Player Jake Groth has this to say about the upcoming game, “I think the easiest thing we can do to increase our chances of winning would be to take better shots. We tend to take lots of 3’s which isn’t a high percentage shot for us right now. Making layups will help as well. We miss a lot of those.”

We also asked Bobby Baltzer about our chances in the playoffs, “If we can win one of these games it will be good because I believe that we can go on a streak. If we can go on a streak in the playoffs, I think we will make it to at least the elite 8.”

Your Warriors take on Cherokee Trail on Wednesday, February 14 at 7:00 at CT.
