What happened: On Thursday March 15, the Arapahoe Warriors baseball team got to play at Coors Field, home of Colorado Rockies. They fell to the Chaparral Wolverines by a score of 10-5. The Wolverines had a strong showing in the 5th inning scoring 6 runs off reliever Tyler Banks.

Key Stats: The Wolverines out hit the Warriors 16 to 7 and is a large part of the reason Chaparral ran away with this game. Despite two more strikeouts the Warriors surrendered more runs and had very poor ERA on the day.

Did you see that?: Ben Cole of Chaparral pitches two solid innings without and hits. Lights out pitching helped Chaparral limit the impressive offense of the Warriors.

Dispute the call: Eyebrows raised when Zach Goodman was called out at home when it looked clean to nearly all at the ballpark. Goodman says “I felt the bag and then the touch, for sure I was not out. They smoked us but I know I was on.”

Warrior of the game: Garrett DeClue played very well in the outfield catching a big pop fly. He was also seen rocking his new perm, so props for that DeClue.
