Is A Blowout On The Horizon?

Nathan Holmes, Spear CEO

The quest for the Milk Jug (Officially known as the Brookridge Trophy) begins again. Arapahoe won last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, etc. Heritage wants a win. But are they good enough? Probably not. Arapahoe is unstoppable with the new coaching change. Coach Rod Sherman has propelled the Warriors to outscore opponents in the second half 47-0. That’s only through two games!

Coach Sherman is what this program needed. Arapahoe currently is 2-0 this year, as compared to 2-8 the previous year. A win against Heritage would give the Warriors a lot of momentum going into their upcoming games this season.

Currently, Arapahoe is ranked 39th in the state, with Heritage at 81st. Heritage has only played one game, beating Air Academy 36-16. That seems like a good score, but considering over two games Arapahoe has scored 80 points, and only allowed 13, we might be looking at a blowout.
