Arapahoe Will Beat Heritage. Here’s Why…

Warrior Football celebrates last year after scoring a touchdown vs Heritage in 2018. The game ended in a 24-28 loss.

September 7, 2018, was a very bad day for Arapahoe Football. We were just upset in the biggest rivalry game of the season, by the school that should not be named (Heritage). Ugh. It pains me to even think about it.

This year will be different, very different. This year, we will return back to the normal. Since the beginning of the rivalry, Arapahoe has gone 60-25-1 vs Heritage, looking to turn it into 61 today.

This year is the redemption year. According to MaxPreps, Arapahoe is ranked 62nd in the state, while Heritage is ranked 38th. Theoretically, we are supposed to lose. However, it is difficult to compare 4A schedules and 5A schedules. So far, Heritage has played only one game, winning against Air Academy 48-6. This may make Heritage seem challenging, but when the fact that most of their opponents are 4A schools is considered, it becomes clear that our schedule is significantly harder than theirs.

This year, Arapahoe should lose. We won’t. The confidence is high all over the school, because everyone knows it. At Arapahoe, we know that Heritage is our “little sister”, and that this year, the Milk Jug will return to its rightful owner, Arapahoe High School.

Be sure to come out to LPS Stadium on today (9/13) at 7:00pm for the game! Students will be wearing blackout!
