It’s Flashback Friday! This week we’re taking a look at the seventh yearbook for Arapahoe High School: the 1970 Calumet. In the year 1970, Arapahoe added new clubs and activities, including Rodeo Club. This club was composed of members from Cherry Creek, Frankton, Littleton, and other surrounding areas. Members would learn the basics of horse racing, such as how to prepare the horse before a race and how to tie the horse to a pole afterwards. They also participated in races which consisted of accessorizing the horse with a bow and barrel racing. Would you participate in Rodeo Club if it still existed?
As time has passed, the school’s image has changed drastically. Be sure to check in every Friday to see what new flashbacks we find!
