The Neisen Railway in Switzerland is also home to one of the most extreme staircases in the world. The railway has access stairs that reach into the clouds of the Swiss alps. With over 5,000 feet of altitude climbed in the staircase this 11,000 stair staircase is extreme in the most out of this world ways. This is also the official longest staircase in the world. This staircase in particular has a terrific view just about the whole way up. You could also just take the railway system to get to the top but if you want to be able to say that you have traveled on the longest, most extreme staircase in the world, spend some time here.
