Last Thursday, the ABK Boys Soccer team took an important first league win over Cherry Creek 1-0. Patrick Buckley led the team with the goal in the 27th minute in the first half. After that, the ABK defense held control over Cherry Creek with goalkeeper Drew Barber having eight amazing saves.

Buckley says “It all happened so fast, Xavier played me a beautiful ball off the top of the defender and all I had to do was beat the defender to the ball.” “I beat him to the ball and had to stay composed while I shot from the bottom left corner of the net.” “The feeling was amazing, but we knew we couldn’t get over our heads because we still had 60 minuets left in the game.”

Tonight, the ABK team looks to keep their win streak going with a match against Grandview at LPS Stadium at 6pm.
