What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

I am running for class officer so I can take part in the student community and be able to contribute to make Arapahoe a better school while giving the students a voice. Some goals I have while I am an office, are to make a great school an even greater school by conquering challenges, looking for new opportunities to build community, and bring students together as Warriors alike.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

My greatest leadership strength is being visionary and I think this is important because you need to know what you would like to see accomplished. I believe things get done when people have a vision and set goals to work toward. Other strengths, I have, are that I look for the good in people and am able to have fun and help others have fun while we are working towards our goals

Why should students vote for you?

Students should vote for me, because a unique quality I display is an outward looking view trying to see things from the perspective of others. I work hard to keep a positive and happy demeanor  even when I am working through challenges. Rather than continue looking at the bad I try and focus on the positive. A skill I can offer is that I look for the good in people. Everyone has something they can contribute, a hand, an idea, a talent, or their heart.

What is your campaign strategy? How are you promoting yourself? (Posters, candy, pictures etc.)

My campaign strategy was everything from posters, to flyers, to candy, and pretty much everything that was allowed. I want to make myself known and liked by the school.

If I am elected Student Council President, I will be not only a leader but a friend. If I am elected, your voice will be heard and not overlooked.

Melica Pourfarie

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

In this position, I hope to provide Arapahoe Warriors with a greater sense of community and connection. I aspire to build a small-scale world of opportunity for everyone in our school, whether it be the opportunity to do good, to grow as a person, or to express yourself. Everyone deserves to feel like they belong and have someone to turn to when they feel like no one is there. When you are there for each other it becomes easier to grow and reach your dreams. I hope to be that person and encourage fellow warriors to connect with one another for a stronger, better, closer graduating class of 2020. I hope to leave this legacy for the future graduating classes of Arapahoe High School.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

My greatest leadership skill is my ability to share my opinions while keeping an open mind. I am very good at listening and communicating.  Listening to people helps me better understand what each individuals’ needs are and how I can assist them. My communication skills allow me to bring ideas to a vast variety of students.

Why should students vote for you?

Warriors, vote for me and together we can create a legacy to leave behind. If you elect me as your class president I will take into account each and every one of your opinions. Being president is not a one person job. It is my duty to take your needs, your voices and make them heard. I believe that as your president, together, you and I can make all the difference. The difference that makes a mediocre high school experience into a lifelong adventure that each and every one of us will remember the impact we will have left behind as a community together.

I have promoted myself through posters, flyers, and by communicating to new and old friends each day. I try to talk to new people everyday and smile at everyone. I hope by doing this as my promotion I can leave an impression of my personality as future president.

Anything else you want people to know about you?

Even if you don’t vote for me, don’t hesitate to come talk to me. I genuinely want to make a difference at Arapahoe, whether that be as president  or not. I want my fellow warriors to know that I am here for them, if you need someone to talk to, or you want someone to just listen to you, I am here. One person isn’t going to change the world. But one person can have a huge effect. My only intention is to leave everybody I come in contact with better off than when I found them. Even if all you do is smile at a stranger, you have left them with piece of you and they will pass that on to the next person and on. Join me in building on past legacies in order to leave a brighter one of our own.

I hope to have more school and class activities to bring us all together and to have fun.

I think my greatest strength is that I am able to take charge in situation and be able to help other people

Vice President

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

I hope as Vice President I can spread more community in our school by encouraging my peers to get more involved in school and spreading school spirit. I also hope that I can spread the voice of the freshman class to bring new ideas for how to make our school a better community so that Arapahoe is more of a place that you would like to be in, instead of a place you need to be in.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

I think my greatest leadership skill is being enthusiastic and getting people excited to try new things. I think everyone has the ability to do something amazing, they just need a little push and lots of encouragement to do so.

Why should students vote for you?

Students should vote for me because I have the experience of leading people in in Student Council at Newton Middle School. As president last year, I participated/lead many events. I am a great leader and know how to work with many people.

Primary I am talking to people and getting new ideas and changes that they would like to see in our school community. I am also hanging posters and handing out candy.

Last year at Newton, I won an award for being a caring student at school. I would like my peers to know this because I really care and would like everyone to feel like they are apart of our school community. I am a very reliable person and I think student voice is very important. I would be honored to represent the freshman class.

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

I want to aid the president meanwhile reaching out to my class as a community and whole in order to make us grow and achieve.

I am ambitious and that ambition takes me far.

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

Running for Freshman Treasurer. Provide great advice to my fellow executives about current budget status, and develop the budget for next year with an eye toward providing better programs for the class of 2020.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

My ability to focus on the issue of the moment. I also have integrity and honesty, and a passion for doing the right thing in all that I do. I also have experience and love working with finances and budgets in non-profit organizations.

Why should students vote for you?

I have great ideas in how to raise funds while having fun. I am a hard worker. I am very organized and responsible, and willing to take whatever time needed to make the class of 2020 better. I am great at math, and know how to balance a budget.

I have several large posters, small posters, and fliers. Many of these have candy attached. I have been handing out the fliers and personally asking people for their vote. Several of my friends have endorsed me.

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

I want to help manage the budget as  much as possible so we can save and work towards getting something beneficial to all classes for years to come.  Also to help in anyway that i can and be there for anyone.

I am always willing to go the extra mile not matter what and support and build people up when they need the help.

I have lot of experience in managing finances, i have my own business that has been running for 3 years. I am not afraid to do the most with the least amount.  I love to help and support the freshmen class and what they would like to do this year.

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

I hope to accomplish keeping all freshmen updated in various forms (social media, announcements, posters, etc.) for Student Council run events.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

My greatest strength as a leader is getting tasks started and done, working hard and coming up with and fulfilling creative ideas for advertising

Why should students vote for you?

Students should vote for me to be Publicity Officer because I am very creative with ideas, strategies and advertising (like the Google posters, for example). And I promise to keep everyone updated on all Student Council events!

What is your campaign strategy? How are you promoting yourself? (Posters, candy, pictures etc.)

My campaign so far has been the Google posters throughout the school (as well an ad with the same layout on the TV monitors) and a big Google poster in the cafeteria (it has a picture of myself on it as well).

I love being creative when it comes to ideas and advertising (I have advertised for other school events for Student Council in the past). If you like creativity, vote for me!

Publicity Officer

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

If elected I would hope to accomplish relaying information to the student body so that no student is confused about what is going on in the school.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

My greatest leadership strength would be my ability to talk to anyone. I love talking to people and I have no problem approaching anyone if I need to.

Why should students vote for you?

Students should vote for me because as a Publicity Officer you have to advertise and be creative with things and I love advertising and being creative. I love talking to people so that will be a plus because I can relay information verbally. But I would also be running the social media account and I am very into technology and love social media.

What is your campaign strategy? How are you promoting yourself? (Posters, candy, pictures etc.)

My campaign strategy was to make posters to hang in the cafeteria and trophy hallway. I also made locker tags and put them on my friend’s locker. During my lunch hour I also went around and talked to people telling them my name and that I’m running for Publicity Officer. I gave them candy and flier with more information about me.

Anything else you want people to know about you?

I want students to know that I am running for Publicity Officer because I really do love talking to people. I also want to become involved with the school and this is a great way for me to become involved and help plan things.

What do you hope to accomplish in your position?

On the former question, I couldn’t submit the form without putting in a valid email address so to answer your question, I am running for Publicity Officer. I do not have set goals, as I have only been at Arapahoe for 3 weeks, but I do plan to listen to my peers and work with them to decide what needs to be accomplished.

What is your greatest leadership strength?

I am good at collaborating with others and making sure that everyone’s voice is heard- not just my own.

Why should students vote for you?

Student should vote for me because I am creative and believe that without people at an event, the event cannot happen. Understand this, I will make sure we have successful ways to publicize and make sure people are there.

I am using posters, flyers, and gum to promote my campaign.

I am know that Publicity Officer is a very important job, and I will care about showing up and doing my part in making sure events can happen with people excited to be there.
