Arapahoe plans “blue-out” to support Legacy during recent tragedy
In light of the recent tragic bus crash involving the Legacy High School football team, the Warriors will have a “blue-out” at the football game against Mountain Vista on Sep. 22. Students are encouraged to wear Legacy colors (navy blue) to show their support for the school as they recover.
“It has been such an incredible experience to partner with Mountain Vista to help a school who really needs help right now,” said Nicole Seavall, 11, the initial organizer of the blue-out, “These schools were here for us when we needed it and now it’s our time to be there for them. The fact that we can get the whole school to do a blue-out and raise money is incredible but the coolest part is that both schools are doing this. Despite the fact we are about to play each other in football, we are able to put the competition aside and come together for something very important”.
At halftime, a “Miracle Minute” will be held to collect loose change for Legacy High School, and all attendees are encouraged to contribute.
