Why Fall is the Best Season

People always get unfairly excited about summer, but in reality autumn is definitely where the magic happens. To be honest, I would trade in an iced lemonade for a pumpkin spiced latte any day of the year, and I would gladly skip those sticky, sweaty months altogether if it was an option. Instead of unpredictable hit and miss weather, holiday envy and forced BBQs everywhere, you can instead relax in the comforting scent of pumpkin, be constantly cosy by a fire, and indulge in all the new TV shows coming out. Here are some other reasons fall is the most superior season.

  • It is officially comfy outfit season. Your flannels, hoodies, scarves, and boots make their long-awaited return. You can wear many layers of cosy knitwear, which feels like you’re constantly being hugged. Also, it is officially acceptable to wear dark colors everyday.

  • You can cuddle by the fire. You can’t enjoy a toasty fire when it is hot outside, can you?

  • Your favorite coffee shops will have new autumnal flavors. You can sit by the window in your favorite coffee shop and watch the world go by while drinking a pumpkin spice latte.

  • Taking the cutest fall Instagrams. You can now make your friends take pictures of you throwing leaves in the air and pictures of you laughing while you hold a pumpkin.

  • No obligation to leave your house because you are “missing the gorgeous weather.” Now you have every excuse to not leave the comfort of your couch for at least several months. It is not warm outside, and until then, it’s fall tv premieres, and also all of the tv and movies you have had to miss because you were forced to leave the house earlier this year.

  • Scary movie marathons. All you need is a few friends, apple cider, kettle corn, and two to four terrifying thrillers for a perfect fall weekend.

  • Dark mornings that make it really easy to sleep in on the weekend. That feeling when you wake up and your house is freezing and horrible, but your bed is the warmest, happiest place on earth in that moment.

  • Fall festivals. Saturdays are spent apple and pumpkin picking with your significant other or getting lost in a corn maze with your best friends.
