Taking the season by storm, the Lady Water Warriors have earned a 1st place title in the Warrior Invite, and 1st place in the Arapahoe Relays. According to Captain Sarah Siayap, 12, “Taking a first at Warrior Invite is exciting for us, especially since we just started our season. I think it is a reflection of how much work our girls put into preseason and also shows how hard they’re working now. Looking further ahead, we as captains are just excited to see where that hard work takes our swimmers.”

Since last year, Siayap says, “Our team is stronger. We had many girls who had been putting in a lot of work on our offseason and gained some new freshman talent. We are looking forward to a competitive season and strong performance at A League and State. Our team is also on board to lean into the challenge of improving and putting in the work we need in order to have a great championship season.”

Before their impressive performance at the relay meet, Siayap also commented on the key to continuing their win streak at the Arapahoe Relays, saying, “Arapahoe Relays is about working together and being a contributor to the team. Having fun is also important because the experiences and memories we make as a team are more important than winning”.

On Dec. 15, the Girls Swim and Dive team will travel to Overland for their next meet.
