Powderpuff Football Game planned to support Make-A-Wish Colorado

All goods deeds come back to you. This year, in the interest of raising money for Warrior Week, a group of sophomores and seniors at Arapahoe High School, in collaboration with Denver Nuggets player Danilo Gallinari, will be hosting a powder puff football game. It will be hosted on Sunday March 5, 2017 at Clarkson Park between 12-3 pm. This is event is free and is open to the public.

Various activities will take place at this event along with the game, including concessions, music, a “Miracle Minute” that will be hosted at half time, and an auction of items that Denver Nuggets player Danilo Gallinari has donated.

The two powder puff teams are comprised of sophomore and senior girls. The two teams have five coaches consisting of sophomore and senior boys including Jalen Thomas, Nick Luci, Jared Johnson, Kyle Tenant and Quinn Trask. This event was mostly organized by sophomore Jalen Thomas and senior Nicole Seavall,”We are doing this to prove that it can be easy to raise money for a good cause and have fun while doing it” Thomas, said.  

Although this event is not officially school sponsored, the organizers of this event will be donating all of its proceeds to Warrior Week and Make-A-Wish Colorado. So come out to support your fellow peers.
