As it nears the end of the baseball regular season, the Warriors are having a good season so far. The Warriors are currently ranked 18th in the state and will soon begin to look forward to playoffs. The next opponent in the Warriors schedule is the defending state champions, Cherokee Trail. The Cougars are not having the same success as they had last year. They currently are 4-9 with no notable wins. The Cougars have had some very close games and only losing by one run to some of the top teams in Colorado. Junior catcher, Zachary Goodman, says, “I am excited about getting an opportunity to play and to possibly beat the defending state champions.” The Warriors look to get a win today in an attempt to secure the second place in the Centennial League. The Warriors hope to finish strong and look forward to having a good postseason.
