Arapahoe ABK Girls Soccer Gears Up for Playoffs

The season is coming to a close for Arapahoe’s ABK Girls Soccer team. Currently holding a winning record of 10-4, the Warriors will look to finish 11-4 against their next opponent, Mullen High School. The momentum should be on the side of Arapahoe as they come off a 10-0 win against Overland and they’ll have more time to prepare to face Mullen. However, Mullen is on a 4 game win streak, including a close 1-0 win over Grandview.

Coming down to the wire, the Warriors can be proud of the season they’ve produced this year. Something that must be noted is that everyone on the team has at least one goal or at least one assist, and a majority of players have both. The leader in goals is none other than junior Danielle Babb, with 13 goals. She is close to averaging about a goal a game. It’s important to know she also leads in assists with a total of 10. Not only has Arapahoe been great on the offensive side but also on the defensive end too. This is thanks to goalkeepers Kali Barber and Grace Caddorette saving many shots. Credit must also go to defensive backs like Elena Jauregui, Sydney Maxson, Maddie Hahn, and Lindsay Carter. They’ve only allowed a total of six goals past them this entire season

The team will look to finish with a win against Mullen this Tuesday, May 2.
