For some people, summer is the best. Almost everyday people plan activities, but for others, there is nothing to do. Here is a calendar of events that will get people out of their houses and explore the amazing community of Colorado.

 

Events:

  • Denver Chalk Art Festival
    • When: June 2nd – 3rd, 2018
    • Location: Larimer Square
    • Time: Saturday 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    • Info: 200 artists show their incredible art skills with chalk art. Admission is free
  • Capitol Hill People’s Fair
    • When: June 1st – 3rd, 2018
    • Location: Civic Center Park
    • Time: Starts at 10:00 AM
    • Info: Brings together a diverse population to celebrate community and enjoy the start of the summer. Admission is free
  • Denver Art Museum
    • Free days: June 2, July 7, August 4
  • Denver Nature & Science Museum
    • Free days: June 3, July 5 (Night at the Museum), August 13
  • Denver Botanical Gardens- Free Days
    • When: June 5 and June 19
    • Embrace Nature, and see all of the colorful, vibrant flowers in the gardens, and walk the grounds to reconnect with the outdoors.
  • Incredibles 2
    • June 15th
    • Located at your local theater
  • Denver BBQ Festival
    • When: June 15th – 17th
    • Where: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
    • Indulge in world-class barbecue from renown pitmasters, accompanied by live music. Admission is free Saturday and Sunday
  • Denver Comic-Con
    • June 15th – 17th
    • $93.50 for all three-day pass
    • Friday – $44.00, Saturday – $60.50, Sunday – $49.50

  • Do at the Zoo
    • When: June 21, 2018, 7-10 p.m.
    • Where: Denver Zoo
    • Info: Sample dishes from over 70 of Denver’s best restaurants, enjoy live music while viewing all of the animals. Admission is free. 
  • Cherry Creek Arts Festival
    • When: July 6th – 8th, 2018
    • Location: 2 Steele St # B100, Denver, CO 80206
    • Info: A three-day event with all different types of art.
  • Slow Food Nations
    • When: July 13–15, 2018
    • Where: Larimer Square
    • Info: Exciting street food festival, with healthier food and a focus on different cultures.  
  • Hot Air Balloon Festival
    • July 14th – 15th
    • Location: Bald Eagle Lake, 35565 South Highway 40
  • Colorado Dragon Boat Festival
    • When: July 28–29, 2018
    • Where: Sloan’s Lake Park
    • Info: A fun family-centered festival, explore a different culture through art, performances, and dragon boat racing.   
  • Western Welcome Week
    • August 10th – 19th
  • A Taste of Colorado
    • When: Aug. 31–Sept. 3, 2018
    • Where: Civic Center Park
    • Info: The last farewell to summer, a Labor Day Celebration with over 50 different restaurants, and almost 300 diverse street artisans. Come help promote the cultural diversity and rich Western history of Denver and of Colorado.
