Tony is 13 years old, lives in Aurora, and loves jazz and classic cars, especially Mini Coopers. He is in 8th grade, is one of three triplets, and is in every respect a perfectly normal teenager. Except one. Tony recently beat osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, and has been through more in his short life than most people will ever go through.

To celebrate beating cancer, Tony and his family partnered with Arapahoe and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to fund his trip to England to visit the Mini Cooper factory.

Arapahoe’s history with Make A Wish Colorado dates back to 2002, when it was one of the first schools to partner with the organization. After supporting other charities from 2009 to 2017, Tony will be Arapahoe’s third wish kid in as many years.

“The coolest thing is that wishes are about hope, dreaming again, or having something to look forward to. It lets the kid and family think outside their current moment and process,” said Make-A-Wish development manager Sarah Gross.

“We’re so grateful to have you all back [after nine years] because this is something that can change a community,” Gross said.
