NFL Mock Draft

With less than a week until the NFL Draft kicks off, analysts are piling up their opinions on who each team will take. Matt Luci and Nathan Holmes made their own drafts: here they are.

Matt’s Highlighted Picks:

Pick #4: Somebody has to pick Kyler Murray, and the Raiders are bound to make a splash. After the Cardinals pass on him, John Gruden picks the most explosive player in the draft.

Pick #6: The Giants actually pass on Dwayne Haskins and take a pass rusher. They feel confident they can land Daniel Jones at #17.

Pick #11: The Bengals take their future quarterback, possibly a year early, but get a head start on the rebuild. They finally fired Marvin Lewis, and are ready to move on at quarterback too.

Pick #13: The Dolphins can’t help themselves and pick their franchise quarterback a year earlier than expected.

Pick #19: TJ Hockenson finally goes to the Titans and gets a chance to be on the field at the same time as Delaney Walker.

The Broncos Pick: If Devin White is off the board, Ed Oliver is the next best option. He would be a huge steal and possibly one of the best players in the draft. Broncos fans should be thrilled about this pick.

Nathan’s Highlighted Picks:

Pick #1: Kyler Murray used to be a lock to the Cardinals. Then, there were doubts. I don’t believe the recent rumors, because this happens every year. Kyler is still my #1 pick here.

Pick #6 and Pick #17: Could Dave Gettleman (Giants GM) secretly be a genius? After losing Oliver Vernon in a trade to upgrade the offensive line, Gettleman fixes the defensive line by adding Montez Sweat, and then flips the script and grabs the future for their team with Drew Lock at #17. If it plays out like this, he may be looking at a raise.

Pick #13: The Dolphins are desperate for Wide Receiver help, and even though they also need a QB, they take the best WR in my mock. Rumors have it that the Dolphins are holding out to take a QB until 2020, potentially targeting Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa.

Pick #15: The Redskins need a QB, because as Denver knows, Case Keenum is not a fix. Dwayne Haskins falls to #15 here, and the Redskins happily scoop him up.

The Broncos Pick: As much as we need a QB, John Elway is known to draft defense over offense. Linebacker is a need, and Devin Bush is an elite prospect. He would be a great fit in Vic Fangio’s defense.
