Arapahoe Football Faces Its Toughest Challenge Yet
Tonight at LPS Stadium your Arapahoe Warriors football team will face off with Cherokee Trail in a conference game. The Cougars have yet to lose, and their 5-0 record is tied for best in our conference. Cherokee Trail is coming off a 49-28 win vs Lakewood, while the Warriors are advancing after a 52-6 win over Douglas County.
This is the last Friday Night Lights home game for the Warriors this season, but they still have one other home game on Thursday night (10/11/18), vs Grandview. Arapahoe is second to last in its the 5A Metro East conference, but only one loss behind first place. The 5A Metro East is arguably the toughest conference in the state, with 5 out of 6 teams with winning records.
Arapahoe is looking for a 5th win and a bump up in the state rankings with a win tonight, while Cherokee Trail is looking to defend its undefeated record. While a win is not necessary for either team to secure a playoff spot, it would help to move higher in the postseason playoff rankings to secure a higher seed.
