All throughout the 1st semester of school students look forward to winter break. With winter break comes,  Christmas time, New Years, and 2 weeks off from school. After a very stressful semester and finals week, students are thrilled to finally get a break from school. I went around the halls of Arapahoe and interviewed many students on their winter break plans .I talked to 15 people and 9 said they were going to stay home, and 6 were traveling. Lindsey G (9) is going to New York, she is super excited to go shopping and spend time with her family. New York is a very popular travel destination and welcomes around 60 Million tourists every year. Times square is the #1 most popular tourist attraction in the whole world!

With the very cold climate in Colorado, many Colorado residents like to venture out to warmer places such as, Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida. The most popular destinations for Arapahoe students this year are 1. Hawaii  2. Florida 3. New York. Traveling can be great, but many students will be staying home during break such as Claire Jelinek (10). Claire loves to stay home over break and spend time with her family on Christmas and enjoy watching the snow, and skiing in breckenridge.I will also be staying home during break, I am looking forward to trying out some new holiday recipes, and celebrating New Years with my friends, a favorite tradition of mine. I am super excited for winter break.
