What to do with Robert Griffin III

Becca Garner, SPEAR Contributer

Hurt once again, this time plagued with a concussion, Robert Griffin III will miss one or more games of the start of the 2015 season. Since being drafted in 2012 from Baylor University, he has been the face of the Washington Redskins. Griffin III has missed more than eight games due to injuries since 2012. As a prime prospect in his rookie season, he put up phenomenal stats including: over 3,000 throwing yards, 20 plus touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions. As the 2014 season came to play, Griffin had less than 2,000 passing yards, only 4 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Yes, he did miss four games, but was he really playing to his best? When tearing his ACL in the ninth game in the 2014 season, the Redskins back up, Kirk Cousins, came in to save the day. While RGIII got hurt during the preseason, once again Kirk Cousins came in to step up as a leader. This season, Kirk has been named the week one starter for the Redskins. If Robert comes back will he be the rookie RGIII all over again? The real question is Robert Griffin III really worth much anymore and is he up to date to play?
