After a hard fought victory over No. 19 Rampart High School on Wednesday night, the Arapahoe Boys Basketball team takes on No. 2 Rock Canyon tonight at 7:30. Rock Canyon annihilated Loveland 61-19. The victory was highlighted by junior Sam Maston who lead Rock Canyon with 24 points. Arapahoe looks to counter Maston with Kyle Lukasiewicz who dropped 36 points on Rampart, while shooting eight of twelve from the floor. The winner of tonight’s match-up will go on to play the winner of Mountain Vista v. George Washington in the championship game of the Rock Canyon Invitational on Saturday at Rock Canyon.

Coach Jansen and the Arapahoe team will lean heavily on the production of Lukasiewicz, but are hoping for big nights from Jared Johnson and Ben Timmons. Ben recorded a 10 point 12 rebound double double against Rampart with 7 offensive rebounds, but needs to be a presence on a defensive side.  The Warriors will be without senior Will Otten, who was ejected from Wednesday’s match-up. Josh Chaney and Drew Hayes will fill in tonight for Otten and his three point capabilities. The Rock Canyon offence is completely dependent on Maston, he was the only player to score in double digits in the game against Loveland.
