The Arapahoe Lady Warrior Basketball team is 12-6 so far this season with only a handful of big games left. The Warriors are coming off a loss to the number one team in the state, Grandview, on Wednesday night. Their upcoming game is on Saturday, February 4th at home against the Eaglecrest Raptors. The Warriors beat Eaglecrest 51-45 last time they played on January 11th. Arapahoe overcame an eight point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Raptors by six.

The Raptors are 8-10 this season and won a close game against the Overland Trailblazers by a score of 55-52 on Saturday, January 28. Eaglecrest is also coming off a loss this Wednesday, February 1st against Mullen. The Warriors beat Mullen by seven last Friday on the road. Senior captain Macy Ziegler led the way on both sides of the ball, contributing a season high 22 points and three steals.

The Lady Warriors currently stand 3rd in the Centennial League behind Grandview and Cherry Creek and are looking to continue their winning streak against teams not in the top ten. This is a big game for both teams, who are coming off losses, to bounce back. Looking ahead, the Warriors will face the Cherry Creek Bruins on Wednesday, February 8th. With only five games left in the season each game is crucial for the girls in order to increase their RPI ranking before the playoffs. Come out and support on Saturday at 7pm at Arapahoe to cheer your Lady Warriors on against Eaglecrest.
