Marching Band Competes at 5A Metro Regionals

On October 17, 2017, the “Pride of Arapahoe” Marching Band, directed by Mr. Shawn Funk, competed in the 5A Metro Regional competition. The band received an overall score of 70.05 and came in 4th place. They currently sit 8th place in 5A statewide.

The band performed their show titled “Leanan Sídhe: The Celtic Muse” composed and arranged by Ian Grom and John Mapes. They were lead by Drum Major Emily Burns. Soloist are Addie Real (flute), Abby Grier (mellophone), and Ammon McBride (fluglehorn).

The Marching Band will host their invitational this Saturday, October 21st. The band will play an exhibition show at 9:00 p.m.
