Last year Arapahoe Girls Soccer rode a strong playoff run to book a ticket to the state championship. A disappointing loss to Mountain Vista ended what was a very exciting season. This season Warriors hope to add the tools necessary to win the Championship this year.

The team is lead by Seniors Camryn MacMillan, Dani Babb, and Kiah Benham who will likely be key to the Warriors attack. Other key members of the team include goalkeeper Grace Cadorette, and defender Maddie Hahn.

One major challenge that faces the Warriors is the large amount of seniors and academy players that will not be returning to the team this season. Madelyn Matthews, an integral part of the Warriors squad graduated in 2017 and her leadership will be missed this season.

Usual foes Cherry Creek and Regis Jesuit both show up in April’s fixtures list and will be sure to bring the heat this season. With three college commits Arapahoe will not be phased by loaded rosters like Creek and Regis.

Senior Kiah Benham had this to say about the new team “I am excited to see how all the new additions add to our team. They are all not only great soccer players but they are amazing people too and I know we will become a team that people won’t forget.”

Come out to support the girls in their first home contests in the Warrior Invitational on March 14th, 15th, and 17th.
