LPS+Hockey+Comes+Out+Victorious+in+Three+Game+Week

Last week the Heritage LPS Varsity hockey team played three games, and they came out victorious in each one.

Wednesday, January 31st the team played Chatfield at Edge Ice Arena. The Eagles were quick to make an impact, and scored three goals in the 1st period. Chatfield scored one goal in the 2nd, but ultimately, after scoring twice in the 3rd, Heritage won 5-1.

Friday night that week the team played Columbine back at Edge Ice Arena. The game was off to a slower start offensively with no score in the 1st. This was followed by an active 2nd period with three goals for Heritage and two for Columbine. In the end, it was Heritage that pulled though with a final score of 4-2.

To top off their triple game week, Heritage played at home against Kent Denver. After one period of play, the game was tied 1-1. The atmosphere remained tense after a no scoring 2nd period. The Eagles were able to score an additional two goals in the third giving them the upper hand. Kent scored once more late in the game and the final score was 3-2.

This week Varsity takes on Mountain Vista Friday at 7:45 p.m. The next day they play a home game against Mullen at South Suburban at 6:30 p.m.
